Google Gears allows offline access to your documents - Google Gears catches and downloads your information to the computer. You can use a plug-in . The plug-in Google Doc's revision history will aid in any sync issues that may occur if a user is synced from one machine and then finished the doc from a machine that did not have a Google Gears. Currently you cannot create a new doc in offline mode. Google Gears works with Google Gears. Multiple identities in one workstation account works fine.
